ABOUT · THE NURSE BEHIND THE JOURNEY
A nursing career.
A world of experience.
A story to share.
Hi, I’m Sandie.
My nursing career spans 45 years, including 25 years as a travel nurse. Along the way, I’ve joined new teams, adapted to different facilities, and cared for people in communities with a wide range of needs.
My most recent travel nursing contract was in 2024. The guidance I share through Be A Traveler Now brings together that firsthand travel experience and the perspective of a 45-year nursing career.
My assignments have taken me to trauma centers, clinics, small rural facilities, and the Navajo Reservation. Each setting has added to the perspective I offer nurses preparing for their own journeys.

WHY BE A TRAVELER NOW
Sharing what I’ve learned
for the road ahead.
Starting again in an unfamiliar place is part of travel nursing. There are new routines to learn, people to get to know, and practical questions that don’t always come with easy answers.
Be A Traveler Now is where I share lessons from a long nursing career and years on assignment. Through resources and coaching, I offer that experience to help other nurses prepare, adapt, and find their way.
Whether you’re considering your first assignment or thinking about your next chapter, you’re welcome here.
